ONE OF A KIND

Welcome to the Engine Loft, a one of a kind matchless home located in Atlanta’s most distinctive & historical development; the Cotton Mill Lofts.

Located in an area simply called “The Engine Room” on old blueprints and featuring elegant architectural details & intentional modern design, the Engine  Loft provides an unparalleled living experience.

Conveniently located on the ground floor, the well appointed accommodations feature 2 oversized bedrooms, 2 luxurious bathrooms, 17ft ceilings, double interior brick walls, custom electronic shades and gorgeous north-facing windows that flood the unit with cool blue light in the mornings & warm golden hour light in the late afternoons.

Retreat to your expansive master suite and enjoy one of the most tranquil locations in the entire Stacks development or enjoy the large 2nd story lofted space that can easily be expanded to add an additional 200 square feet of living space.

The inviting community at The Stacks means it’s a place where neighbors quickly become friends. With a lively community, a resort-like pool among the mill ruins, all the latest amenities, and low HOA fees, you can easily see why hirise.com heralded The Cotton Mill Lofts as “Absolutely one of the most spectacular loft conversions in Atlanta.”

With 125 years of history, charming industrial accents, and a one-of-a-kind floor plan, The Engine Loft is unlike any other. Comfortably situated in the heart of everything you can park your car and walk to it all: the bars & restaurants on Carrol Street, Oakland Cemetery, Edgewood Ave, MLK Marta Station, Fetch Dog Park, The Larkin, King Historic Site, Krog Street Market and more! Owners at The Stacks get the best in-town lifestyle that Atlanta has to offer. Brilliant!

A SPACE REIMAGINED

In 1895, mill founder, Jacob Elsas, commissioned the building of an annex on mill building no. 1.

Simply called “The Engine Room” on old blueprints, the annex would house an 1800-horsepower Cooper engine. Before Atlanta offered a reliable power grid, the Fulton Bag & Cotton Mill had to generate its own electricity with this enormous engine. At the time, it was the largest steam engine in the American south. Though the engine is long gone, the engine room has been transformed into The Engine Loft.
